[Working] Steam Region Change
Please note: Changing the region of your Steam account can result in a community ban or alert on your account (which might restrict certain functionalities) if you attempt to use a payment method that is already linked to another Steam account or if your IP address has a history of similar activity. Additionally, unforeseen reasons may also lead to a ban after you change region. We strongly advise using your account without altering the region and adding funds through Steam Wallet codes, which can be purchased from websites such as MTCGame. This method allows you to continue adding funds without changing the region.
The primary advantage of changing your Steam account region to your country is the ability to use your local payment methods (Credit/Debit cards) directly for adding funds or making purchases in the community market.
If you still wish to proceed with changing the region to your country and using your payment method, you may do so at your own risk by following the steps outlined below:
Choose a cheap game from steam store
Head to Steam store and choose a cheap game (any game below 50 cents would also work). Pick any one from here.
After choosing a game, go to the product page and click on “Add to Cart” option.
Change country to yours on cart page
On cart page, click on drop-down menu infront of the country and select your country. Post that, you will be asked for your billing address. You need to select – “Yes, my billing address is in <Your Country>“.
Click on Purchase for myself
After changing the billing address and country you should be able to see the updated price of the game which will be shown in your currency. Post that, click on “Purchase for myself”.
Choose the local payment method and pay
Depending on your country, certain local payment methods will become available to you. For example: For USA, you will see PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB payment method.
Please note: Do not use a card or any payment method which is already linked or used on some other steam account else you will end up getting a steam alert and your account will be locked!
Upon payment completion, your store region will also be updated to your country and you should be good to add funds or make community market purchase.
